Back to Black

The Rats played to a packed bar room in Dublin tonight.  After the vast Blackheath Halls, the smaller more intimate Whelan's in the heart of Dublin was the perfect venue to see and hear the band. The full set was played, except for the yet to be rehearsed numbers, and when they ran out of songs, they played Mary of the Fourth Form again.

(Vocals : Bob Bradbury except where stated)

  • Mary of the Fourth Form
  • Close As You'll Ever Be
  • Neon Heart
  • Joey's On The Street Again
  • Someone's Looking at You
  • Diamond Smiles
  • Looking After Number One
  • I Can Make It If You Can
  • Like Clockwork
  • She Does It Right (Vocals : Garrick Roberts)
  • Riot in Cell Block #9 (Vocals : Simon Crowe)
  • She's Gonna Do You In
  • Rat Trap
  • She's So Modern
  • I Don't Like Mondays
  • When The Night Comes (not played)
  • My Blues Away (not played)
  • Doin' It Right (not played)
  • Mary of the Fourth Form

As close as you'll ever get to recreating the days of playing Moran' s and there were even some younger fans lapping it up.  A great homecoming.

Now the band tour with The Blockheads and From The Jam, in a series of gigs in the UK.
